Added a few tidbits relating to recent releases, especially the new CD with Ian Boddy, React. (I didn't get around to commenting here on the small changes made for the previous releases last year.) However, there's a big change in the works, in that this entire website is getting a big overhaul. I have been busy working with Via Studio in Lousville KY and we plan to go live with the new design very soon - maybe as soon as a week from now (or at least in early April.) I might port the old site over to www.rrich.com just as backup until I know that everything is working properly. the new site looks beautiful! I'm excited. - RR

Two big changes around the website. The biggest structural change involved the sale of the "amoeba.com" domain name to the California chain of Amoeba record stores, which they hope to turn into an online music presence. So, now the Amoeba band is in a subcategory of this website, at www.robertrich.com/amoeba/index.html. Also you can find newly built Amoeba pages on Rick Davies' site www.worththechaos.com. The other big changes revolve around the upcoming tour and new Robert Rich release "Electric Ladder", with cover art and sound samples.

Lithosphere is available, and Robert added dates to the Concert News page.

October 12, 2005
Updates to the website have continued little by little through the summer, mostly on the hand blog, but also with news about ongoing musical work. The new release with Ian Boddy is coming out at the end of October, and so we added new pages about that along with relevant updates throughout the site.

Echo of Small Things just arrived from the manufacturer, and we are starting to ship. You'll find it on the order form. Some short samples of the music are now up on the site as well. Enjoy!

Thanks to the many people who have written to share their kind wishes for recovery after the hand accident. Robert will occasionally post pictures and personal observations about the healing process on a separate page.

March 16, 2005
Robert injured his right hand quite badly last Friday. He's recovering swiftly and continues to get some work done. He might keep a blog of some sort regarding the recovery process, in case that's of interest to people. Check the website for news.

With Robert working hard in the studio on new projects, we have updated the news items on the site to reflect some upcoming releases and a concert in June. Stay tuned for a flurry of new announcements in a month or two.

November 17, 2004
Big news until the end of the year: FREE SHIPPING ON ALL CD ORDERS! We also updated the Interviews page with some recent conversations that touch on some interesting philosophical territory; added and updated some items on the Links page, and updated Recent Activities.

The pending release of Open Window inaugurated many changes around the website. Not only can you find a new feature page, but five new interviews and articles got added to the "interviews" page, some of which occured during tours when Robert wasn't around to add them to the website. Robert still plans to perform a solo piano concert at the end of July, and he's working on a new electronic CD. Dive in!

Small changes added around the site today, in preparation to post release notes for the new piano album Open Window, and at least one local piano solo concert near release time. The concert announcement is already up on the site. Stay posted for cover art and sound samples hopefully in about a month.

The new live album Calling Down the Sky will arrive at our doorstep in the next day or two (barring accidents) and will start shipping for pre-orders. The new order form lists it at the bottom, and we'll wait to process orders until the disks arrive. I added small changes around the site to reflect the new release, including the feature page and discography. I added four new MP3 samples to the audio sample page, two each for Temple of the Invisible and Calling Down the Sky. Apart from all that, I'm doing some re-arranging in the studio to start a piano solo album, tearing things up, selling off old gear and consolidating. I plan to hunker down for a year write some new music before I return to live activities.

September 23, 2003
I returned from tour in late August, and I'm slowly getting around to updating parts of the website to reflect new events. I posted a tour journal online, with reflections from the road, weather stories and other obscure tidbits. Photos are slowly getting scanned and posted as I get around to it. Look for a possible live CD in a few months. At the moment I am busy with scoring and sound design for a couple films, and non-musical activities like food writing and winemaking in the basement (it's harvest time!)

I depart for a loop around the USA in a few days. You will find my concert schedule here and under "concert news" on the main frame of the website. Some details are still missing from this list, so please contact the names listed on the schedule to find the latest information. You can still place orders for CDs from the order form, and my wife will be home to ship them, but you won't be able to request signed copies until I get home in mid-August. I hope to see some of you at a concert soon!

April 29, 2003
Temple of the Invisible is now released, and available from the order form. You can read about the new CD by clicking here, or you can go directly to the order form to request a signed copy. You might not be able to purchase signed copies from the website while I am on tour, since I won't be home to sign them. Tour plans are also posted in the main website.

March 3, 2003
Busy times around here, and changes will go up on the site to reflect the news. The concert page will receive frequent updates as the Summer tour solidifies. Also, the new CD Temple of the Invisible is scheduled for release on May 1, and feature pages will get updated accordingly.

December 1, 2002
I decided to split up the website among my three different domain names, and give them all a new look. Now you'll find of my solo music activities at http://www.robertrich.com, Amoeba-related information at http://www.amoeba.com, and my food-related writing at http://www.rrich.com. In other news, I am planning a tour for next Summer, and procrastinating on the next solo album while I play with culinary journalism. The new album will be called "Temple of the Invisible", and the work that remains consists mostly of editing and overdubs.
