Rick Davies (the one in Amoeba) is not the Rick Davies of Supertramp, but he did go to see Supertramp when they played Barcelona back in the late 70's. Rick is also no relation to Ray or Dave, but he did see the Kinks once at a show at the University of Essex. Nor is he the Richard Davies who started the band Cardinal with Eric Matthews. No, Rick Davies is just this guy, y'know? OK, maybe you read his stuff in Music Technology and Home & Studio Recording magazines back during his days as an editor for Music Maker Publications in the late 80s, but we doubt it.
